The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II), which came into effect on 3rd January 2018, is a European Union Directive that provides harmonized regulation for investment services across the EU. Legal framework in Montenegro is made in accordance with MiFID II.
The main objective of the European Union’s MiFID II is to harmonize the governing of financial markets within the EU and therefore to increase efficiency, enhance financial transparency, increase competition and customer protection in investment services.
